Moving Around in Whizzper

This section will introduce you to the menus in Whizzper. The Menus are pulled up by selecting the "Menu" option. They are dynamic according to what's going on and repetitive so you can access important functionality from more than one place. Whizzper navigation is intuitive. After just one session the user feels right at home. Skip down to see explantions on specific Menu options: Message, Buddies, Settings, Invite a Friend, Exit and the Inbox options.

Message

To chat to one of your buddies; highlight any buddy on your list, open the Menu, and select "Message". A text editor is opened which you can use to compose a message to that buddy. See Dialogues. A new dialouge tab will open between you and your buddy which you can scroll to using the scroll buttons on your mobile phone.

There is a "Message" option in the dialogue window Menu as well. This is used in the same way as before to shoot quick messages to your buddy.

To close a buddy window. Select the "Close" option from the Menu while still in the dialogue window. See the Settings and Exit sections for explanations on these repeated menu options.

Buddies

The "Buddies" option (selected from the Menu while in the Buddies tab) is dynamic and when selected, provides options depending on the circumstances.

If you haven't highlighted any of your buddies, you are given the option to add a new Whizzper buddy. See Add a Whizzper Buddy.

After adding a Whizzper Buddy, you're given the option to "Authorise", so your new buddy to receive information on your presence. If I were to highlight a buddy and select "Remove", the highlighted buddy would be deleted from my list.

Settings

The "Settings" option, when selected, gives you options to configure your Whizzper data (Password, Online status, Backgrounds/Avatars, etc).

Selecting "My Status" allows you to change how your buddies see your online status, for this session only. The options available are "Online" and "Busy".

Selecting "Login Status" instead sets your online status automatically every time you log in.

To change your Whizzper Password select the "Change Password" option from the "Settings" Menu. This takes you to a screen which allows you to change your Whizzper password. This is helpful and recommended. See Changing Your Whizzper Password.

Invite a Friend

The "Invite a Friend" option (selected from the Menu button while in the Buddies tab) allows you to share Whizzper with your friends. When selected you're given a screen which lets you type in a friend's mobile phone number (most terminals allow access to the phonebook). An SMS will be sent with your name on it instructing your friend on how to get Whizzper. See Invite a Friend.

Exit

The "Exit" option when selected takes me out of Whizzper. See Exiting Whizzper.

Inbox Options

The Inbox is a very helpful tab where you will find useful information from Whizzper such as news, invitations and more. See Inbox for more information. The Inbox options are also dynamic. When no other scenarios are in play, you're given the Settings and Exit options.

When you have a message in your Inbox the "Delete" option appears. With the message to be deleted highlighted, open the "Menu", highlight "Delete" and hit "Select". I like to keep my Inbox free of clutter.

Here, a buddy is asking for your permission to add you to his/her list. You can "Accept" or "Reject" the request by going into the Menu. See Add a Whizzper Buddy.
